History | Winemaking
Poggio Pollino Estate is set in a
wonderful location in the foothills
to the south of Imola
and enjoys an unrivalled panorama
looking out over the entire valley.
Rows of Albana and Sangiovese vines,
gently caressed by the breeze,
run along the ridge.
Sangiovese, Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot and
Albana are grown with the
“spurred cordon” technique.
Grapes are picked
strictly by hand
to ensure only the best
grapes are selected.
Temperature-controlled
vinification, ageing
in wooden barriques
and refining in bottle
make it possible
to obtain
excellent and refined
wines.
