Cardeto is a co-op of 350 members that consists of over 800 hectares of vineyards, located around the historical town
of Orvieto. Nearly the entire production is of Orvieto Classico, and their wines are renowned for consistent high quality at very reasonable prices.
The Orvieto Classico “Pierleone” is made with a blend of indigenous grapes (Procanico 50%, Malvasia 15%,
Verdello 15%, Drupeggio 10%, Grechetto 10%) and is fermented in steel vats to preserve the intense floral aromas.
