SourGrapes: Powerful nose, gorgeous fruit
Name Story
Cerretello
takes his name from one of the estate vine holding
Winemaker
Sergio Gargari
Vineyards | Winemaking
Made from Sangiovese (90%), Canaiolo and Black Malvasia grapes
coming from 30 years old vineyards, it proudly proposes
again the austere style and the rough flavour of Tuscan
Chianti thanks to the low production per hectare and the
fermentation in concrete vats that extol tannic components
and terroir taste.
After the alcoholic fermentation (12 days at 28°C), wine
stays in concrete vats for 6 months, and, after the complete
maturation, it is bottled to aging in glass for 2 more months.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese, canaiolo 5%, malvasia nera 5%
